Fundamental
Housekeeping Methodology has been used by the Regina Work Preparation Centre,
Saskatchewan, for the past five years. The program is used for pre-employment
training for aboriginal people to assist them to find employment and to introduce
knowledgeable workers into the health care industry. The materials are delivered
through a one-week training session. All participants are required to write
a final exam and must achieve a grade of 75% to receive a certificate of completion.
To date the program has proven to be successful in employment and retention.
